Supermoon Sunday

The nearest the moon has been to the earth for 20 years. Therefore looking bigger and brighter. Hence “Supermoon”.

Or “Perigee Moon” to give its lovelier astronomical name.

I stayed up till 1 in the morning watching as it tracked across the town. Best was when it got captured then released by fast foaming clouds. Giving off the illusion of a rapidly, and magically, moving moon.

It’s easy to find the right musical accompaniment; Gregory Alan Isakov’s “That Moon Song”

A lovely song for a lovely moon.
