The Maidencombe Wild Paddler

This afternoon on Maidencombe beach the ‘Wild Paddler’ was spotted.

Maidencombe Wild Paddler 2

Casually sauntering into, and out of, the sea.

It is not known where this Wild Paddler comes from, or goes to.

It is not known why she paddles in such a wild way.

As she paddles, she searches.

She appears to be sifting the surf.

For glass shards. Or possibly washing her marbles or something.

Occasionally she will look up from her wild paddling and gaze around.

When she spots something she is vaguely familiar with

She switches from being a Wild Paddler

To a Wild Waver.

And whoever or whatever is being waved at must wave back.

Or give some kind of sign of intelligent life.

Otherwise the Wild Waver will recoil quickly back to her former Wild Paddling state.

Lost to the surf and the sea once again.

If you happen to spot her do not be afraid to approach her. I’m sure she won’t bite.

The Wild Paddler of Maidencombe is rather charming really.

And quite harmless.
